The design of a race car is optimised for speed and agility; the design of a truck for efficient fuel and transportation costs. Just like a vehicle your organisition also has a design with an optimising goal. Do you know the optimising goal of your organisational design?
Scrum at Scale is is a organisational design that optimised for speed and flexibility; it scales to ten of teams without adding ant extra roles, processes or artefacts. Stronger even, your organisation will get simpler and leaner organisation instead of a bigger and more complex.
In this session you will get an overview of Scrum at Scale effects your organisational design and how it can benefit you.
You want to scale agile but you don’t know how to proceed. You like some methods and frameworks but
they don’t fit in your context. You want to change the organization but it’s hard enough to change your
Scaling agile to work in large organizations is a hot topic. Some coaches and consultants offer
frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Holocracy) but others don’t believe such frameworks can work. Other
companies publish their own custom approach (Spotify, Menlo, Zappos) but it appears that people often
copy these without thinking. Silver bullets and copy/paste solutions are easy to sell but don’t enable real
transformation. But what if we make it a game?
Specification by Example is an agile development technique that improves collaboration between technical and nontechnical members of the team, by exploring the problem using examples. These examples then get turned into executable specifications, often called ‘scenarios’.
In this session you can learn about how examples can improve the efficiency of the agile projects and how this can be turned into practice with Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
Imagination is what distinguishes innovative from lagging organisations. Any organization can be re.imagined, re.vers.ified, to exploit its intrinsic potential to innovate
Scrum creates room for action and discovery. Organisations re.imagine their Scrum to
converge their product delivery into a Scrum Studio. Divisions dissipate into a structure
of product hubs interconnected through purpose and distributed leadership. Creativity
and innovation emerges. People, teams and the organisation prosper.
Re.vers.ify is an act of simplicity, rhythm and focus. Gunther has consolidated over a decade of his experience, ideas, beliefs and observations of Scrum in re.vers.ify. Gunther will introduce how the deliberate emergence of a Scrum Studio is the current way forward to re.vers.ify.
